Tincho Palermo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 19th minute Simbo FC were awarded a corner. Sabri Ravelli went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 24th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mías Khalifa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tincho Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tincho Palermo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mías Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tincho Palermo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liviu Gherghescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Simbo FC made a substitution. Miliano Sacristán replaced Tincho Palermo. A collision led to Simbo FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Liviu Gherghescu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Miliano Sacristán's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Alberto Tafalla succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 71st playminute. Honorato Bibiano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Mías Khalifa was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 86th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Simbo FC's Miliano Sacristán. But to his dismay, Miliano Sacristán quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
