The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ernso Constant fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haiti's protests and gave Ernso Constant a yellow card for diving instead. Haiti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Ramón Fridman scored to the left of an out of position Noel Seide, making the score, 1-0. After 7 played minutes Paulo Diaz y 10 mas got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Heredia. A sloppy throw-in by Quim Mahotiere in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Ernso Constant. The supporters of Haiti booed when Paulo Diaz y 10 mas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frances Doursther didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Paulo Diaz y 10 mas's Apolo Véjar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Noel Seide. Noel Seide yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Apolo Véjar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Seide having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Ramón Fridman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramón Fridman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Véjar in the 24th minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Haiti's Noel Seide got control of the ball when Carlos Gustavo Claude tried to sneak it across the goal line. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Véjar in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Paulo Diaz y 10 mas booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramón Fridman. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Gustavo Claude, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Carlos Gustavo Claude hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Alphonse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Gustavo Claude kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Haiti's attentive Jean Marie Alcius managed to snatch the ball when Jorge Heredia made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. Constantino Angeloni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 64th minute. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Ernso Constant. With 72 minutes on the clock, Jean Claude Ulysse commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 71st minute, one of Haiti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Haiti. Haiti:s Noel Seide showed great skill when he stopped Rodrigo Rumie:s penalty. The Paulo Diaz y 10 mas fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Paulo Diaz y 10 mas's Apolo Véjar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 85th minute, Apolo Véjar made a precise shot to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Ramón Fridman took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Seide. Noel Seide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 93rd minute Apolo Véjar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Diaz y 10 mas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
