Matias Aurre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Noel Seide. Haiti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Azeari in the 24th minute. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Marz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Feliciano Elodio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 28th minute of the match. When Matias Aurre fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lugano Futbol's protests and gave Matias Aurre a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lugano Futbol's Matias Aurre got a free kick in the 30th minute. Haiti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugano Futbol the free kick. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Matias Aurre walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ernso Constant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Apolo Marz fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lugano Futbol's protests and gave Apolo Marz a yellow card for diving instead. Apolo Marz kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
