If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Pepsi's Kurt Lundin got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, FC Pepsi's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Paul Holmstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Sammut Castelletti came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Paul Holmstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 16 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Holmstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 23rd minute, Ludvig Ahlroht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Paul Holmstedt. FC Pepsi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 29th minute of play. FC Pepsi were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ludvig Ahlroht took the corner. After taking down the ball on FC Pepsi's corner Bruno Lucente fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Kurt Lundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Holmstedt. FC Pepsi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes FC Pepsi got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Sammut Castelletti. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Lv Yuan Kuan made the kick off in the second half. Paul Holmstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pepsi's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Holmstedt came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lv Yuan Kuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Yuan Kuan in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Lv Yuan Kuan came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Holmstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Lundin in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 86th minute of play forced FC Pepsi's goalkeeper Paul Holmstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Kurt Lundin scored 1-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
