Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thomas Vollmar started the match with the kick off. Thomas Vollmar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Adam Pacholewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Pacholewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Thomas Vollmar scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Venezuela's Jose Correa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar. But to his dismay, Thomas Vollmar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zé Paulo Zonta. Newcastle United's attack was well implemented in the 36th minute, but when Pankracy Malicki was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Adam Pacholewski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Thomas Vollmar took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pacholewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Paulo Zonta who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Newcastle United's corner Zé Paulo Zonta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute of the match Newcastle United got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo Zonta ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Newcastle United's corner Marian Erland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 62nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Pankracy Malicki made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 69th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Patricio Costa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zé Paulo Zonta hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Vollmar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Zé Paulo Zonta hit a great ball. Pankracy Malicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 91st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Newcastle United were the better team. Newcastle United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
