Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Sandrinho Hoffmann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sandrinho Hoffmann really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Barrios during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Estrela Solitária booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dylan Sarmiento the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dylan Sarmiento had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Panama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 11th minute, Estrela Solitária got a penalty, and Chicão Amorim placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Hoffmann during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Sandrinho Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. After 22 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. After a defensive mix-up in Estrela Solitária's zone, Miguel Miralles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Dante came out of the goal and Miguel Miralles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Benjamim Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 29 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Hoffmann notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute, Sandrinho Hoffmann reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 4-0. Matthew Garrido made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felipe Ros immediately put the ball in play. 42 minutes into the game, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamim Dante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Zé Roberto Hermes hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamim Dante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 54th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Meira went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Müller in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. If Chicão Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Amorim in the 62nd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerd Müller went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerd Müller in the 77th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chicão Amorim was slow to take the kick. During this time Estrela Solitária's players had a chance to rest. Estrela Solitária's Chicão Amorim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Estrela Solitária booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estrela Solitária had won after a very even match.
