Blue Beast's Eddy Huijgens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Blue Beast getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Alfons Wolfdoncx hit a great ball. The supporters of Blue Beast booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. ValentÃn Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Hendrickx in the 16th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Andy Hendrickx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Beast's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Hendrickx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Cempeners struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Beast. After having played for 22 minutes, Andy Hendrickx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Beast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Hendrickx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. When Andy Hendrickx came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Blue Beast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Hendrickx couldn't finish the play. If Andy Hendrickx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Blue Beast booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Cempeners fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. If Antonio Cempeners had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andy Hendrickx showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Wolfdoncx in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tjorven Caspers who took care of the corner kick. 86 minutes into the game, Blue Beast's Antonio Cempeners nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The throw-in from Brain Van den Sande in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar.
