After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Benito Madrid got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a little luck, Bolivia's Camilo Freixa got control of the ball when Miltos Giatridis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Mario Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Chicote in the 16th minute of the match. Miltos Giatridis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Freixa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Eduardo Fontirroig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes AEK S.C got a freekick which was hit by Nektarios Tsagarakis. Benito Madrid kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Fontirroig. 38 minutes into the game, Miltos Giatridis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Camilo Freixa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, João Francisco de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Freixa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Miltos Giatridis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Alfonso de la Cruz in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AEK S.C's Sakis Tavlaridis. Francisco Gallo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Miltos Giatridis scored 2-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Freixa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 90 played minutes, AEK S.C's Sakis Tavlaridis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Freixa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AEK S.C reached it. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Giatridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Miltos Giatridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AEK S.C fully deserved thier win.
