Jamaall Padmore charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamaall Padmore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jamaica:s Demonde Jacobson showed great skill when he stopped Miltos Giatridis:s penalty. Demonde Jacobson was a little too slow when Kevin Carreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, João Francisco de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Demonde Jacobson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute, Thomas Papatrechas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karlus Waugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miltos Giatridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Jamaica's Karlus Waugh in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AEK S.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute, Thomas Papatrechas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Karlus Waugh came free, but Thanasis Koltsidas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarell Hill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfaro Meo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Demonde Jacobson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK S.C. 48 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miltos Giatridis. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Miltos Giatridis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Jamaica defense, Alfaro Meo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco de Andrade in the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, João Francisco de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltos Giatridis in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demonde Jacobson saved Jamaica from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Carreira in the 69th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miltos Giatridis in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demonde Jacobson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alfaro Meo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When AEK S.C's Kevin Carreira in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jamaica's goalie prevented a goal. AEK S.C's Sakis Tavlaridis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leron Sale in the 93 minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Leron Sale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that AEK S.C were the better team. AEK S.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
