After 15 minutes, Troy Kennedy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the AC Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Milan. Augusto Scarinci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. When Rocco Owen fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Rocco Owen a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Davies made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvise Giannetta during the 52nd minute. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Comunardo Pedroni's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curacao players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC Milan.
