If Kurt Kaszubik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Wit Maurycy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Warmia Grajewo and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Warmia Grajewo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Maurycy to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Kurt Kaszubik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Kurt Kaszubik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jaime Pardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Marian Zima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Giliusson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Warmia Grajewo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobiasz Bejgier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo had several of the Warmia Grajewo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Lucas Giliusson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marek Wawrukiewicz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
