After 4 played minutes, La Academia's Maxín Bacarreza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Academia reached it. After 6th play minutes Robby Woody shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Demonde Jacobson and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 9th minute, Gong Peng Bo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demonde Jacobson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Geroy Ascue got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 16 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Geroy Ascue. The supporters of Jamaica booed when La Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lalo Salamanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Mazuste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, La Academia's Aaron Mazuste got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a little luck, Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson got control of the ball when Robby Woody tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iwan Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romon Oliver in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Jamaica got a corner. La Academia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Finlay Stair ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Jamaica's Finlay Stair to fire away a dangerous shot which Iwan Grocholski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 35th minute of play. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Peng Bo in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robby Woody in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demonde Jacobson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Romon Oliver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jamaica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Academia the free kick. Robby Woody scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demonde Jacobson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Demonde Jacobson was a little too slow when Francisco Alberto Zañartu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 4-0. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Karlus Waugh hit a great ball. Robby Woody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demonde Jacobson having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
In the 55th minute, Gong Peng Bo made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robby Woody, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Demonde Jacobson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. In the 78th minute Francisco Alberto Zañartu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Mazuste came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Francisco Alberto Zañartu notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute, Robby Woody got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute Robby Woody shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Robby Woody cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Demonde Jacobson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La Academia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
