Mexico's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Long Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Yaman Academy®'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Long Liang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 84 minutes into the game, Önder Ünlü cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Liang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Long Liang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yaman Academy®.
