The long shot by Artur Rydzewski in the 18th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Basaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cezary Czubski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cezary Czubski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Miroslaw Basaik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miroslaw Basaik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Stasio Jerzyk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stasio Jerzyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goalie prevented a goal.

Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Nicola Zalewski was substituted for Stanislaw Siembab. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Konrad Tobaczewski was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play forced Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goalkeeper Miroslaw Basaik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachary Domin's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zachary Domin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Zachary Domin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Domin. Nicola Zalewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65thth minute of the game Konrad Tobaczewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Nicola Zalewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Miroslaw Basaik. Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Miroslaw Basaik threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Artur Rydzewski kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Basaik having to interfere. Miroslaw Basaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's Miroslaw Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miroslaw Basaik saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Stasio Jerzyk came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicola Zalewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konrad Tobaczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
