Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Ferman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Cabal charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milagros Cabal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Valentín Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes, Claudio Quentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO FC and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Claudio Quentin hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Moises Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th minute, Ciriaco Cordarrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ciriaco Cordarrell took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonzo Oton in the 24 minute of the game. 25 minutes into the game, Raimundo Domiku was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN LORENZO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 25th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Domiku to maneuver through the defense. Julio Ferman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 27th minute of the match. Ciriaco Cordarrell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Monserrat made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Honduras booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Quentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga tried to score from far away in the 52nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Ciriaco Cordarrell came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Cordarrell couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Marcelo Michael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN LORENZO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Marcelo Michael hit a great ball. 59 minutes in the game, Edmundo Espiga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julio Ferman having to interfere. When SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Cordarrell. A sloppy throw-in by Roberto Monserrat in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonzo Oton in the 92 minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Honduras players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
