After 15 minutes of play, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Jesús Martín made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergey Nikiforenko in the 18th minute of play. Atilla Bumin Hızlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atilla Bumin Hızlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Benedykt Grunwalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Gianluigi Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Gianluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Defensores del Tiki Tiki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Laurentzi to maneuver through the defense. Atilla Bumin Hızlans short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Jesús Martín recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Nikiforenko came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Sergey Nikiforenko. But to his dismay, Sergey Nikiforenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Sergey Nikiforenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilla Bumin Hızlan in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hampus Nordström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hampus Nordström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
