The throw-in from Cornelio Rius in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Cornelio Rius made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Prats to maneuver through the defense. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Mourelatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Amboy FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Ariel Mourelatos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Amboy FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valerio Spadoni was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Valerio Spadoni came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerio Spadoni in the 61st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Mourelatos came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 65th minute. Amboy FC's Nicanor Mendiko was substituted for Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 77th minute. After 81 played minutes Amboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruce Cornforth. In the 82nd match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Cornforth to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eliseo Mina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos did a great save. Ariel Mourelatos was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Eliseo Mina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Mina really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Peru were furious when Efraim Gilabert was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute, Zacarias Goleš made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
