Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Curacao's Kyle Davies started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Laurence Alwege hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lochlan Newman struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ben Everett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curacao. 10 minutes into the match, Stratton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Wallace came free, but Ben Everett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Brandes Starling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ben Everett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Davies in the 18th minute of play. If Kyle Davies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Stratton FC got a freekick which was hit by Boyd Alcock. Jarrett Surman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Stratton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Davies came free, but Ben Everett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Everett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Davies in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarrett Surman to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Stanley Wallace managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanley Wallace was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Everett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jarrett Surman came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Stratton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarrett Surman couldn't finish the play. Curacao's Stanley Wallace got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stratton FC's Ben Everett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Davies in the 65th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curacao fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! 3-0 came in the 79th minute when Brett Ashby all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. When Boyd Alcock fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Davies couldn't finish the play. The Stratton FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
