Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 9th minute, Witalis Brysz made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Kalle Billberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano. José Maria Goiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witold Bronicki got free with Julio Vera in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A very nice done corner allowed Agustín Saelices to score against José Maria Goiano in Poetass FC's goal. 1-2 after 22 minutes. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jon-Egil Schjelderup. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Zeng Xu Yuan could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Ecuador booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witold Bronicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Goiano having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalle Billberg's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Maria Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 minutes Poetass FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Poetass FC's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Poetass FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for José Maria Goiano to make any attempt to save it. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but José Maria Goiano made a huge save. Witalis Brysz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Celsinho Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poetass FC's protests and gave Celsinho Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. José Maria Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 89th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ecuador walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
