Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After having played for 12 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mattias Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Mårtensson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 17 in the game by Haldun Bilen from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Mattias Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Frogos's Mieszko Lichorobiec got a free kick in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Los Frogos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mattias Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Frogos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Cristian Sancho heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christoffer Mårtensson made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Los Frogos's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Jansson came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Haldun Bilen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Frogos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Mattias Jansson made a huge save. In the 58th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Los Frogos's Mattias Jansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Los Frogos from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Los Frogos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Mattias Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 70th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Frogos's Conny Kullgren was substituted for Marcus Ekblom. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mattias Jansson made a huge save. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mattias Jansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Roy Broberg hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Christoffer Mårtensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Agustín Saelices reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mattias Jansson. The goal made the score 2-2. Los Frogos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
