Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomás Quadros took the kick off in the first half of the match. Moises Tafalla's late challenge caught a MLM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Tafalla helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MLM booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristos Huarte fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MLM's protests and gave Cristos Huarte a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes MLM got a freekick which was hit by Cristos Huarte. With an all-out effort, MLM's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrik Tidén, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tomás Quadros took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Tomás Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Cristos Huarte was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a defensive mix-up in MLM's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Cazeneuve came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertol Elias in the 30th minute of play. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's Moises Tafalla got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Moises Tafalla off the ground. MLM's Bob Cazeneuve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Tomás Quadros threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Tidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Henrik Tidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Valerón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes MLM got a freekick which was hit by Anartz Tobia. Henrik Tidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anartz Tobia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Valerón in the 86th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, MLM's Candido Valerón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
