Tobias Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match, Víctor Franco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Tyrone Summerfield was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edmundo Espiga. Víctor Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Muñeco FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
