The supporters of USA booed when Vänge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Otsoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Mauro Otsoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vänge IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Otsoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciriaco Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 21st minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Otsoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Axel Aronsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänge IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. A collision led to Vänge IF getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Axel Aronsson hit a great ball. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 31st minute of the match. Schorsch Schmalzbauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Edward Mcdonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ciriaco Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 38th minute of play. Ciriaco Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 41st minute of play. Raphael Moore kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Otsoa came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Vänge IF's Markus Albäck was substituted for Schorsch Schmalzbauer. Vänge IF's Zoltán Tálas was substituted for Rune Aspengren. Ciriaco Hernando made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, USA's Jenson Smith dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 70th minute of the match. Ciriaco Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 72nd minute of play. Zach Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ciriaco Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Giordani came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Edward Mcdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. 82 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Albäck came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Vänge IF were awarded a corner. Lilo Stich went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Vänge IF's Lilo Stich to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, USA's Ciriaco Hernando threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Khalid Parry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khalid Parry couldn't finish the play. USA played a much better game than Vänge IF and deserved their victory. The Vänge IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
