The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when 秦耀川 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when 莫梁帆 sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, 秦耀川 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and 秦耀川 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nike 张晨剑 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 秦耀川 in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 秦耀川 went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Tiago Gabriel da Silva let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 29th minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. Thanks to some nice moves Nike 张晨剑 could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiago Gabriel da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After 70 minutes, Tiago Gabriel da Silva made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, 秦耀川 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute, Matias González hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Gabriel da Silva's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Nike 张晨剑 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nike 张晨剑 went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. In the 95th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel da Silva in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
