Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 3rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Olivedos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Antonio Arias managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cássio Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Abel de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. In the 35thth minute of the game Abel de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel de Godoi in the 37th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cássio Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel de Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Ferraz went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, Olivedos's Cássio Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
