Hertha Göteborg's Petter Falck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asım Çağkar in the 9th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Palu's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Jönsson came free, but Binali Semi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Wållander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Asım Çağkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Falck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Hertha Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Asım Çağkar came free, but Petter Falck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Palu's Asım Çağkar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palu's goalkeeper Binali Semi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Asım Çağkar made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hertha Göteborg booed when Palu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Cüneyt Rıza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Peter Wållander took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Binali Semi to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 57 in the game by Alvar Jönsson from a close distance when the talented Binali Semi managed to make a qualified save. Palu's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Wållander in the 64th minute of play forced Palu's goalkeeper Binali Semi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvar Jönsson got free with Binali Semi in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvar Jönsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Binali Semi. That made the score 2-2 in the 68 minute of play. Alvar Jönsson in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Binali Semi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Petter Falck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramazan Sebuk's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. A collision led to Palu getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Şimşek Kunt hit a great ball. Ramazan Sebuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asım Çağkar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petter Falck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
