With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Borgatello in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Bazan saved Gronau from getting behind. Napoleon Bazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Borgatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Iannucci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gronau's zone, Alvaro Borgatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Bazan came out of the goal and Alvaro Borgatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gronau's Napoleon Bazan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Gronau from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Nugola AFC's Arturo Passerini got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gronau's Boguslaw Kajdasz got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Teobald Furlit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nugola AFC's Alvaro Borgatello got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
