Ramazan Sebuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joe Bontine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asım Çağkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Quentin Coulthart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willie McVurich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Binali Semi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When George McGugan fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ryde's protests and gave George McGugan a yellow card for diving instead. Binali Semi made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Willie McVurich sent off a good shot on target. Joe Bontine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Binali Semi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Asım Çağkar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramazan Sebuk struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Quentin Coulthart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palu. Ryde's Quentin Coulthart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramazan Sebuk in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Richard Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Asım Çağkar to strike the kick off in the second half. Quentin Coulthart was out of position in the 50 minute of play, and Ramazan Sebuk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramazan Sebuk really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Joe Bontine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Binali Semi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asım Çağkar in the 61st minute of play forced Ryde's goalkeeper Quentin Coulthart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Binali Semi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie McVurich in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eren Zeyyat during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Palu getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eren Zeyyat hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes Ryde got a freekick which was hit by Euan Simpson. Willie McVurich charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willie McVurich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Palu booed when Ryde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie McVurich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramazan Sebuk took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quentin Coulthart. Quentin Coulthart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Quentin Coulthart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asım Çağkar, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ryde's Quentin Coulthart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asım Çağkar in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Ramazan Sebuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramazan Sebuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Binali Semi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Bontine in the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Asım Çağkar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palu's supporters rose to their feet, but Asım Çağkar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentin Coulthart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joe Bontine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Binali Semi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie McVurich, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The Ryde fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Ryde's Willie McVurich looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
