Adriano Borrelli came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ryde's Willie McVurich. But to his dismay, Willie McVurich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adriano Borrelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie McVurich in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Iannucci in the 17th minute of play forced Ryde's goalkeeper Quentin Coulthart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Alvaro Borgatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joe Bontine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Borrelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. When %teams%'s Dario Iannucci was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 25 minutes into the game. Quentin Coulthart was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 28th minute Dario Iannucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Coulthart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dario Iannucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nugola AFC's Alvaro Borgatello got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvaro Borgatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Betti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Quentin Coulthart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Borgatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Iannucci to strike the kick off in the second half. Quentin Coulthart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Iannucci in the 57th minute of the match. If Dario Iannucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvaro Borgatello came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Nugola AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Borgatello couldn't finish the play. Quentin Coulthart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dario Iannucci's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Dario Iannucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentin Coulthart having to interfere. The supporters of Ryde booed when Nugola AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Borgatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Iannucci in the 85th minute of play forced Ryde's goalkeeper Quentin Coulthart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joe Bontine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nugola AFC's Dario Iannucci got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Nugola AFC were the better team. Nugola AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
