The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Primo Peramato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fernandão Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandão Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rayland FC's zone, Amadeu Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basajaun Lecuona came out of the goal and Amadeu Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Rayland FC's Fernandão Senna threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roger Bannister, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 13 minutes, Dorian Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jukatriz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorian Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roger Bannister could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Fernandão Senna made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Sílvio Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 18 minutes, Primo Peramato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rayland FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primo Peramato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Jukatriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué de Salles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Jukatriz's zone, Ambrosio Marchamalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Senna came out of the goal and Ambrosio Marchamalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jukatriz's Fernandão Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Bannister in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the game, Rayland FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. In the 37th minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Bannister did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Fernandão Senna 38 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Ximun Zaldos notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Jukatriz's Fernandão Senna. Fernandão Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Bannister made a kick off. Roger Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Ximun Zaldos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Magalhães hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes, Doni Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jukatriz and the Rayland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rayland FC booed when Jukatriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jukatriz's Fernandão Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Bannister in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Bannister in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandão Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Wilson Gaspar took a quick shot and it went in 7-1 without a chance for Basajaun Lecuona to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Jukatriz getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Sílvio Vargas hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Primo Peramato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernandão Senna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Primo Peramato put it in 8-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernandão Senna. Fernandão Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Bannister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
