In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gordy Uchiha was slow to take the kick. During this time Freezerpool FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 15th minute, Gordy Uchiha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Freezerpool FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Freezerpool FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gordy Uchiha took the corner. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Fabio Artaldo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Peng Yi in the 28th minute of the match. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordy Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Freezerpool FC's Gordy Uchiha got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Zhou Chao Yu charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zhou Chao Yu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 36 minutes into the match, Zhao Peng Yi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Peng Yi in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Germano saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. After the first half Freezerpool FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Jaizki was the one to do the kick off. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Germano should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Zhao Peng Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gordy Uchiha got free with Carlos Germano in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Robert Lewandowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Germano came out of the goal and Robert Lewandowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fabio Artaldo fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Fabio Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Casco in the 92nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano got control of the ball when Gordy Uchiha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentín Barco kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Matias Casco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Freezerpool FC and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Freezerpool FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Freezerpool FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
