The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentino Ferrant during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 8th minute. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diguinho Oliveira having to interfere. A hard shot 12 in the game by Kamil Baycan from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Zorita managed to make a qualified save. El Salvador's players were relieved. The supporters of BraveHeart Warriors booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Leguizamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Fan Li, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wei Fan Li received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kamil Baycan had several of the El Salvador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Ricardo Zorita as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 43rd minute, Thierry Henry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thierry Henry in the 46th minute. Wei Fan Li received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Wei Fan Li slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kamil Baycan made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jorge Magrina hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes, BraveHeart Warriors's Severino Paraíba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BraveHeart Warriors reached it. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamil Baycan in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Kamil Baycan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Wei Fan Li came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamil Baycan in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Kamil Baycan made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Kamil Baycan notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by BraveHeart Warriors's Thierry Henry. But to his dismay, Thierry Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kamil Baycan's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Kamil Baycan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Kamil Baycan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kamil Baycan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. In the 92nd minute, Carlos Fernando Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Carlos Fernando Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
