But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassius Byrne couldn't finish the play. Daniel Moron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Leopoldo Liberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Cassius Byrne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jenson Smith hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gogo Gabrio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boulogne del Ciclón. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Cassius Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Moron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Moron having to interfere. Daniel Moron made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liu Zhen Ang, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Sam Campbell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Daniel Moron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khalid Parry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. USA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
