In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Du Song Lin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Anselmo Maraschin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s attentive Ange Di Maria managed to snatch the ball when Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Milan da Freguesia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Maestri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 98 minutes, Chicão Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milan da Freguesia F.C. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Milan da Freguesia F.C. had played much better football throughout.
