Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Cristi Maniu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Cristi Maniu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 8th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Călin Prunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC MCM's Călin Prunaru did a great save. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Isbășoiu in the 13th minute of the match. Viktor Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC MCM. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Irureta in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Matthew Garrido got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Călin Prunaru quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Viktor Axelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC MCM's Călin Prunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 23rd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Isbășoiu in the 27th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Isbășoiu came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jean Paul Moscatelli sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute of the match FC MCM got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristi Maniu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jean Paul Moscatelli got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 39 minutes into the match. Andrei Murărașu's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrei Murărașu helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC MCM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Adrian Isbășoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Alex Cambeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the FC MCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. In the 49th minute Adrian Isbășoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. Adrian Isbășoiu scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Isbășoiu went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. FC MCM made a substitution. Cătălin Agulescu replaced Viktor Axelsson. 71 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Agulescu came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Paul Moscatelli in the 76th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Cătălin Agulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC MCM's Vali Cârnu was substituted for Jean Paul Moscatelli. 83 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Isbășoiu came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Adrian Isbășoiu in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cătălin Agulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Agulescu in the 91st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the game, FC MCM's Cătălin Agulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Agulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Eusebiu Astafei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC MCM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
