Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. But to his dismay, Jacob Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Emesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Herena came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Jacob Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
