After 5 minutes of play, Polly Magoo Juniors's Jan-Erik Tunberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Markus Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markus Fågel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polly Magoo Juniors the free kick. After 16 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omero Zubiaga in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Eric Bertaux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polly Magoo Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jan-Erik Tunberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polly Magoo Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Tunberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jan-Erik Tunberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conny Rudkvist during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conny Rudkvist hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Markus Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Tunberg went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Erik Tunberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Bergman went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Tunberg in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roy Johnsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Polly Magoo Juniors's players had a chance to rest. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jan-Erik Tunberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Eric Bertaux hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A collision led to Polly Magoo Juniors getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Conny Rudkvist hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Polly Magoo Juniors's Henry Jonasson got a free kick in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Bergman in the 85th minute of play. Alf Bredberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Polly Magoo Juniors booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gösta Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Polly Magoo Juniors.
