Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Jens Åkerman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of Di Röe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving George Kristiansson. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Kristiansson was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Di Röe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. George Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Sten Melberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sten Melberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Bengt-Rune Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. George Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Sten Melberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Di Röe made a substitution. Romeo Gologan replaced Sten Melberg. Di Röe made a substitution. Ivan Drake replaced Bengt-Rune Berg. Felix Montes thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 68th minute which led to 1-2. 71 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Romeo Gologan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Gologan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knut Engström kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Felix Montenegro sped through Di Röe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of George Kristiansson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with George Kristiansson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Di Röe's Ivan Drake got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
