Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Quintana in the 21st minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Junior Quintana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Clem Fath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Quintana in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Erwann Patrice could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clem Fath having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Félicien Boidin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Félicien Boidin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clem Fath was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Clem Fath. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosa nostra Lyon's Junior Quintana. But to his dismay, Junior Quintana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Quintana came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Erwann Patrice came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ludovic Le Gac in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. After 87 minutes, Jonathan Venegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Cosa nostra Lyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cosa nostra Lyon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Clem Fath, making the score, 5-2. 93 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Erwann Patrice came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
