Ignaz Ecke was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignaz Ecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Achille Molinaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Achille Molinaro couldn't finish the play. Jacobo Nores was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Achille Molinaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Ignaz Ecke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Ignaz Ecke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Diego Tenorio's late challenge caught a Luponero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Diego Tenorio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Luponero FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ignaz Ecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
