Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mariano Lacasa got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thiago Pliego firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Edgardo Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Alperen Öksüz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 24th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Edgardo Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jörgen Frohm ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led New England Minas's Oscar Nordmark to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 53rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Nicholas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Chile booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Arturo Sito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Sito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Felix Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. New England Minas's Conny Tingberg quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 95th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New England Minas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
