Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. Alfonso de la Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Jos Musseeuw's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Manu Abajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierres Abadie struck a weak shot in the 101st minute. Camilo Freixa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamento Boliviano. When the referee ended the match the Lamento Boliviano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
