In the 3rd minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Hansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jonathan Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 23 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Xentrias's Jonathan Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Hansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Jonathan Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. Jonathan Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xentrias's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-6 became the score in the 37th minute when Cristian Sancho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Xentrias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miklós Császár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Hansson, 0-7. Jonathan Hansson made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, Xentrias's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jonathan Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Jonathan Hansson to make any attempt to save it. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Hansson. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xentrias's Jonathan Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 76th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Hansson. Jonathan Hansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Jonathan Hansson made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Xentrias got a freekick which was hit by Miklós Császár. Jonathan Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Björklund during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan Björklund hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Xentrias and deserved their victory. The Xentrias players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
