With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Pinheiro in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Josué Pinheiro scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 9 minutes into the game, Henk van Putten threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Luca Espinar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 11th minute Josué Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Josué Pinheiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 2-0. Henk van Putten made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Josué Madureira immediately put the ball in play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Josué Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. 21 minutes into the game, Josué Pinheiro lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Lautaro Navarro. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Josué Pinheiro sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The supporters of Honduras booed when Matungo Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Cromefeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Borges in the 42nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Matungo Gaúcho getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Frank Cromefeldt hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ademir Baptista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. The supporters of Matungo Gaúcho booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Pinheiro came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes, Edmundo Espiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Matungo Gaúcho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64thth minute of the game Josué Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Pinheiro in the 67th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk van Putten got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcinho Sena. Marcinho Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Pinheiro came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Josué Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Sena in the 82nd minute of the match. Marcinho Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celedonio Florinio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Josué Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Henk van Putten made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcinho Sena. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Pinheiro in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Josué Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
