Felix Martinsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Rutledge in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ove Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Felix Martinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Albert Rutledge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA VIOLA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Rutledge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Felix Martinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Martinsson having to make a save. With a little luck, LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after LA VIOLA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Felix Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Felix Martinsson was a little too slow when Lautaro Mancebo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. LA VIOLA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvald Uter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Albert Rutledge made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LA VIOLA.
