Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Adrián-Daniel Dobre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Carlos Mei recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Carlos Mei showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Carlos Mei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Mei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrián-Daniel Dobre got free with Benito Sanz in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Bela was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 29th play minutes Carlos Mei shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. With an all-out effort, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ediberto de Queirós, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anacleto Geofredo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Carlos Mei succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 35th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián-Daniel Dobre in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihăiţă Stolniceanu slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 39th minute. Adrián-Daniel Dobre scored 7-0 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Carlos Mei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Mei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Mei in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Adrián-Daniel Dobre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Mihăiţă Stolniceanu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Ferdinand Zmărăndache was substituted for Adrián-Daniel Dobre. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Mei in the 72nd minute of the match. Carlos Mei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Carlos Mei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. 91 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Mihăiţă Stolniceanu made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0.
