Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Daniel Păvăloae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Martín Palermo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martín Palermo got free with Benito Sanz in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Martín Palermo put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 14 minutes in the game, Nicolas Napier fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Martín Palermo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Metal Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martín Palermo struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metal Juniors. The crowd rose to their feet as Eloy Gaufred kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Antonio Eyague was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metal Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 26th minute, Antonio Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Martín Palermo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Martín Palermo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metal Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Martín Palermo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Palermo in the 38th minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emilio Bibiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Metal Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Martín Palermo sent off a good shot on target. Martín Palermo in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Gervasio Favila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 52 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 54th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Napier, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martín Palermo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60th play minutes Martín Palermo shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 67th minute Martín Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. Metal Juniors's Haroldo Nayely was substituted for Haroldo Phelipe. Metal Juniors made a substitution. Yani Abalos replaced Marco Ireno. After 70 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Metal Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Dennis in the 75th minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Dennis went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Metal Juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
