Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Carlinhos de Lara started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Roy Pålsson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andriy Shevchenko in the 6th minute of play. Roy Pålsson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Döring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andriy Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Andriy Shevchenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventudes Libertárias and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Andriy Shevchenko. André Döring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Juventudes Libertárias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Pålsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos de Lara came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Carlinhos de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Döring saved Juventudes Libertárias from getting behind. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlinhos de Lara in the 39th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Jacobo Nores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg André Döring managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andriy Shevchenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. André Döring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ivan Prats hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper André Döring had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. After 69 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. Carlinhos de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Juventudes Libertárias booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andriy Shevchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. If Andriy Shevchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute of the match Marquinhos Azevedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Nores showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
