Ugonotti's Adriano De Carolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 14th minute of play. Ulf Larsson made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vinícius Juniors immediately put the ball in play. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Joinville City - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute of the match Ugonotti got a corner. Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Carolo Camaño took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Haji Sarap to make any attempt to save it. 34 minutes into the match, Vinícius Juniors notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carolo Camaño was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Camaño came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ugonotti's Ulf Larsson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ugonotti's goalkeeper Adriano De Carolis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Santos in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano De Carolis saved Ugonotti from getting behind. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Camaño in the 95th minute of the match. Joinville City - FSCMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
