Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jose Carita hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Valter Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Romão Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Clube Patrício's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play forced Sporting Clube Patrício's goalkeeper Ademar Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Binne Koppermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ademar Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Clube Patrício's Tomás Portugal was substituted for Binne Koppermann. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Valter Cardoso got a free kick in the 68th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Portugal went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Tomás Portugal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
